It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo Estill, singer, teacher, researcher, and founder of Estill Voice Training. There are many within our community of teachers who studied with Jo personally and feel that they owe their daily successes to the brilliant insights of this remarkable woman. Although we mourn, we know well that Jo has moved on from Craft and Artistry to Metaphysics, long an area she wanted to explore. We will revisit Jo Estill’s contributions to voice science and pedagogy in a series of celebrations of her life: January 8, 2011 in Santa Rosa, January 15, 2011 in Colorado Springs, and in July, during the Estill World Voice Symposium.
